Sometimes that means photographing from a distance. Other times we're hiding in plain sight, looking like we're photographing something completely unrelated.

Depending on the location and timing, we'll also look for beautiful light, interesting backgrounds and opportunities to create something a little more dramatic.

Choosing the Right Place to Propose in Dallas–Fort Worth

The best proposal location isn't necessarily the place everyone else is using.

It should make sense for the two of you.

Maybe that's a rooftop overlooking the Dallas skyline, somewhere outdoors surrounded by nature, a beautiful restaurant or hotel, or a location that already means something to your relationship.

Planning a surprise proposal can feel like you're trying to coordinate a dozen little details without letting the one person who matters know what's happening.

We'll help make the photography side simple.

1. Tell Us What You're Planning

Start by telling us about the two of you, when you're thinking about proposing and anything you already have in mind. If you've chosen a location, great. If you're still figuring things out, we can talk through what you're envisioning.

2. We Build the Photography Plan

Before proposal day, we'll work through the timing, light, exact proposal spot and where we'll be positioned. We'll also establish a simple plan so you know exactly where to go without having to text or call us while you're standing next to your partner.

3. You Ask the Question

This is your moment.

We'll stay out of the way and photograph the proposal as it actually happens , the question, the reaction and everything immediately afterward.

4. We Create Your First Engaged Portraits

Once the surprise is over, we'll introduce ourselves and give you a moment to enjoy what just happened.

Then we'll guide you through a short portrait experience together, creating a mix of natural moments and more intentional photographs while the excitement is still fresh.

Depending on the location, we may photograph from a distance, blend into the surroundings or simply look like we're there photographing something completely unrelated.

We'll make sure you know exactly where to go and where to stand so you don't have to look around trying to find us.

You shouldn't have to worry about the photography when you're about to ask one of the biggest questions of your life.

Your job is to focus on your partner.

  • As soon as you know the approximate date, reach out. More time gives us more flexibility to plan the location, timing and photography logistics, especially if your proposal requires reservations, access to a private location or a specific sunset time.

  • Yes. If you haven't chosen a location yet, tell us what you're envisioning and we can help you think through the type of setting that would work well for both the experience and the photographs.

  • Our goal is that they don't. We'll plan where you should go and where we'll position ourselves ahead of time so you aren't searching for us when you arrive. Depending on the location, we may photograph from a distance or blend into the surroundings until the proposal happens.

  • Communication and planning are important, especially when we're working around sunset or changing light. We'll establish a plan before proposal day so we know how to handle timing changes without creating unnecessary communication that could give away the surprise.

  • Yes. Whether you're planning something simple and intimate or incorporating flowers, signs, candles, champagne or a more elaborate setup, we'll plan the photography around the experience you've created.

  • Yes. We photograph throughout Dallas–Fort Worth and can also discuss proposals outside the area or destination proposals depending on availability.

  • Yes. Once you're officially engaged, we can continue creating portraits together and talk about a full engagement session if you'd like something more extensive.
