Kimberly and Ian’s wedding was the perfect blend of romance, edge, and emotion. This young couple embraced a bold, gothic-inspired vision that carried beautifully from their engagement session all the way into their wedding day. As a Dallas wedding photographer, capturing their fearless creativity and authentic connection was an absolute joy.
Before the wedding day, we photographed Kimberly and Ian’s engagement session at Grapevine Lake, where they envisioned something dramatic and cinematic. With a windy, cloudy sky setting the mood, we elevated the session using smoke bombs, creating powerful images that reflected their personalities perfectly.
That same creative energy followed them into their wedding day—something many Dallas brides are embracing more and more: weddings that truly reflect who they are.
On October 31st, the day began with capturing thoughtfully styled details and getting ready moments. From rings and florals to carefully chosen accessories, every element felt intentional—an approach we prioritize in our wedding photography.
Kimberly prepared alongside her loved ones while Ian got ready with his groomsmen nearby. One of the most emotional moments of the day was their private first look, allowing them to connect, breathe, and take in the meaning of the day together.
We then moved into family and bridal party photos, where the color palette chosen for the bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly complemented the groomsmen’s attire, creating a cohesive and visually striking look.
The ceremony took place indoors at Ashton Gardens, a venue known for its breathtaking ceremony space framed by tall windows that flood the room with natural light. Despite the gothic inspiration of the day, the ceremony felt romantic, emotional, and timeless.
Surrounded by family and friends, Kimberly and Ian exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that truly honored their love story—one of those moments that reminds us why we love being a Dallas wedding photographer.
After the ceremony, we photographed family portraits, including special guests who traveled from out of the country to celebrate with the couple. These moments were especially meaningful, preserving memories that will be cherished for generations.
To close out portraits, we returned to one of Kimberly and Ian’s signature elements—smoke bombs. Their post-ceremony portraits were bold, artistic, and unforgettable, tying their engagement session aesthetic seamlessly into their wedding day story.
The reception was where the Halloween spirit truly came alive. The night was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and nonstop dancing. Guests fully embraced the theme, arriving dressed in creative costumes that added even more personality and fun to the celebration.
One of the biggest highlights of the night was an unforgettable surprise: the groom’s parents dressed up and performed a full dance to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. The room erupted with cheers, laughter, and applause—it was hands down one of the most fun and memorable moments of the entire wedding.
From emotional toasts to a packed dance floor, the reception perfectly reflected Kimberly and Ian’s playful personalities and love for creating experiences their guests would never forget.
